Exhibitions

Max Carocci’s curatorial experience covers several exhibitions and numerous collaborations, as well as consultancies for various public and private institutions.

Max has been involved in collecting, cataloguing, advising on, and revising archival records for various museums, among which: The British Museum in London; The American Museum in Bristol, UK; the Horniman Museum, London; Hastings Museum, UK; Exeter’s Royal Albert Museum; and the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Outside the UK he has worked with the Museum Volkenkunde in Leiden (NL); the Historisches und Völkerkundenmuseum, St. Gallen, CH; the Weltkulturen Museum in Frankfurt, Germany; and La Rochelle’s Musée du Nouveau Monde in France.

 

In addition to working on museum collections, Max has been a consultant to private galleries such as Rainmaker, Bristol, UK; and institutions such as Bohnams Auction House, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, and the Royal Academy in London.
