It got published in the end in Colonial Latin American Review. A labour of love on a topic that is dear to me.
It is part of a longer project on illustrations, pictures, images, and drawings and their relationship to ethnography, anthropology, and knowledge production. More material will be shared in due course, but I can already announce the forthcoming online exhibition on ethnographic drawings for the Royal Anthropological Institute, and a one day symposium on the same topic that will take place in February in London.
